The theater-dance show “Madame Bovary”, directed and choreographed by Mălina Andrei, is a study on the complex relationship between actor and character, between director and actor, between bodily expressiveness and audience, in an attempt to reveal the deep layers of human psychology and society in which the characters evolve. Thus, the actor-audience relationship becomes a subtle bridge between reality and fiction.
Instead of presenting Emma Bovary as a tragic-romantic heroine or as a victim of her own delusions, the director brings to the fore the portrait of a strong and determined woman who strives to overcome her condition and redefine her own destiny.
In Mc Ranin’s scenography, every stage detail, from sets to costumes, is designed to emphasize and amplify the emotions and themes addressed in the show.
The show “Madame Bovary” is a deep exploration of human nature and the complex relationships between characters, emphasizing human strength and vulnerability in a way that invites the audience to reflect on their own illusions and the shaping of their own lives.
