“War” by Lars Norén brings us face to face with the ugliest characteristics a human can acquire in the struggle for survival where there is no mother, father, daughter, sister, only each other. The real war is now being waged within each of us, not with the other, but with the self. In a reality full of chaos and dehumanization, our primitive nature will quickly and imperceptibly take over.
The action takes place in a nameless country ruined by war. The audience witnesses the life of a family struggling in a world no longer governed by any ethical rules. One day, a husband, who is also a father, unexpectedly returns home where nothing is as it once was. In this world, there is no more innocence and the oppressed are no different from the oppressors.
