BABEL International Performing Arts Festival
International Performing Arts Festival of Târgoviște, Babel, was born out of the desire to retrieve the halo which the town had for almost 300 years, while being reign residency of The Romanian Country and a political, economic and cultural landmark.
The biblical myth of Babel Tower means the humanly longing to know the wholeness of the Universe, to reach the perfection of which man himself is part of. At the same time, Babel is the ground zero of diversity. The artistic and theatrical Babel is a certain way to touch the sky, not through brik or metal constructions that crowd the nowadays surroundings, but through something more solid and that is soul communion. The artistic expression is the language of the soul. In its dictionary always rise new words.
