THE COMEDY OF ERRORS presents the story of two couples of identical twins who have been accidentally separated at birth, but fate brings them together again. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of Syracuse arrive in Ephesus, where their twin brothers live, Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant ,Dromio of Ephesus . When the people from Syracuse meet the friends and families of their twin brothers, a series of events based on mistaken identities lead to an almost incestuous seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus and accusations of infidelity, theft, madness and demonic possession.
After setting in 2006 at Targoviste” l'Amour peintre” after Moliere, the director Louise Danceanu, comes back in town in order to stage this show about “how to exorcise the sin of the twins. In one ancient belief, the twin is an anomaly, an apparition marked by hybris and which demands to be exorcised in order to integrate without repercussions in the life of a family. God only created unique beings. Where doubles have appeared , there also sneaked the envious and cunning, under the patent of divine creation,a devilish and convoluted tail” ( Louise Danceanu).
