Script and direction: Mimi Branescu

Even though Mimi Cornel Branescu is known to the Romanians as an actor rather than a playwright, he returns to Târgovişte in a double position: script-writer and director.
For this tragedy- comedy with two characters – She: Simona Popescu and He: Leonid Doni – the young playwright obtained first prize at the Romanian Comedy Contest in 2006. It’s a modern scenario, vivid and touching which cuts up the reality of a post-Decembrist Bucharest, socially unstable, where the two youngsters fall in love. Their love is being stifled by the lack of physical comfort, but especially the mental one.
The playwright Mimi Branescu made his debut with “Bigudiuri” (“Hair Curlers”). Other texts put in stage are : “Gunoierul” (“The scavenger”) ; “Flori,fete,filme sau baieti” (“Flowers, girls, movies or boys”)
